Palestinian author, born in Jabal al-Mukaber/Jerusalem 1941 - BA in Philosophy and Sociology - Damascus University 1965 - Vice President of the Jordanian Writers Association and member of the Association's administrative body for ten years 1977-1987. - Member of the General Secretariat of the Palestinian Writers and Journalists Union 1987-2004. - Member of the Palestinian National Council 1988-1996. - Editor-in-Chief of the weekly Jerusalemite newspaper Al-Tali'ah 1994-1996.

* General Supervisor of the Cultural Notebooks magazine issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture 1997-2000

* Editor of Cultural Affairs in Sawt al-Watan magazine issued in Ramallah 1997-2002.

* He began writing in 1962 and published many of his short stories in the Jerusalemite magazine Al-Ufuq Al-Jadeed.
