Born in Gaza in 1952; achieved his PhD in 1983 from Al-Azhar University in Gaza; served as Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Al-Azhar University from 1996-1998, Director of the Jerusalem Open University in Gaza from 1992-2003, then worked as a lecturer in Political Science department from 1998-2013; served as Dean of Students Affairs at Al-Azhar university from 2007-2009; served as Dean of Faculty Intermediate Studies at Al-Azhar University from 2010-2011; served as member of International Sociological Association in Madrid in 1983; served as member of International Society of Social Science in 1985; served as member of Arabic Society of Political Science in Cairo in 1985; board member at Independent Al-Quds Media News Agency since 2005; Chairman of the Board of the Civitas Institute for the Civic Studies since 2003; published a book titled “The Democratic Transition In Arab region in light of the Arab spring” in 2012; published an article titled “Democracy and Human Rights are Essential for Sustainable Development (The Gaza Strip as a Case Study)” in University of Sharjah Journal of Humanities & Social Sciences in 2008.
