Muin Odeh is an international human rights lawyer, researcher, teaching assistant, and doctoral candidate at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. While living in Jerusalem, he represented Palestinians in public opinion cases before Israeli courts. He also served as a political and international humanitarian law advisor to diplomatic missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah, and is the founder and director of the legal clinic in the East Jerusalem neighborhoods beyond the separation wall. Muin participated as a young leader in the U.S. State Department's Leaders for Democracy Fellowship Program on Conflict Resolution, a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a fellow at the University of Virginia's Center for Politics and Global Perspectives on Democracy, a member of the European Academy of Diplomacy, and a Young Legal Leader of the International Bar Association. He holds an LLB and BA in accounting from the Hebrew University and an LL.M. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a commentator and writer who has appeared in Middle Eastern media outlets such as Al Jazeera, Al Quds, Jurist News and Legal Research, and in American media outlets.
