Dr. Fuad Ismail Iyad is a distinguished professor born in Gaza City, Palestine, on October 24, 1972. He currently serves as a professor at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, where he is recognized as one of the leading academic figures in his field.
Dr. Iyad plays a significant role in advancing both education and scientific research, contributing actively within the university and in broader academic circles. His dedication to the academic community reflects his commitment to excellence and intellectual development.
He resides in Gaza and carries out his academic duties at Al-Aqsa University
Academic qualifications:
- PhD in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Educational Technology, from the joint program between Al-Aqsa University in Gaza and Ain Shams University in Cairo in 2005.
- Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Educational Technology, from the joint program between Al-Aqsa University in Gaza and Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1999.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Mathematics, from the Faculty of Education in Gaza (currently Al-Aqsa University) in 1995.
Positions held:
- Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2/1/2009 to 9/18/2017.
- Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at the Quality Assurance Department at Al-Aqsa University from 12/1/2007 to 1/31/2009.
- Head of the Department of Technology, Applied Sciences and Teaching Methods at Al-Aqsa University from 2005 to 2007.
- Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology, Applied Sciences and Teaching Methods from 2005 to date.
- Lecturer in the Department of Technology and Applied Sciences from 2000 to 2005.
- Supervisor of the Educational Technology Laboratory at Al-Aqsa University from 1995-2000 AD.
Scientific research and activities:
- Participation in a research paper entitled “Analysis of Technology Textbooks for Grades 7-10 in Palestine in Light of the Technological Enlightenment Standards of the International Society for Technological Education” at the first scientific conference of the Faculty of Education at Al-Aqsa University, “The Palestinian Experience in Curriculum Preparation (Reality and Aspirations), held on 19-20/12/2006.
- Publishing a research paper entitled “The Availability of Technological Enlightenment Standards in Technology Textbooks for the Fifth and Sixth Grades in Palestine” in the Journal of the Islamic University of Gaza.
- Publishing a research paper entitled “The Level of Availability of Website Development Skills among Students in the Master’s Program in Educational Technology” in the Journal of Educational Technology in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- Submitting a research paper for publication entitled “The Reality of Practicing Instructional Design Processes among Technical Education Teachers in the Gaza Strip.” It is subject to peer review.
- Authoring a book entitled “Methods of Teaching Technology.”
Participation in activities within the university:
- Participation in preparing a project plan entitled “Developing the Quality of Technology Education Teacher Preparation Programs in Palestinian Universities and Colleges” as part of the fourth QIF session for the academic year 2008-2009.
- Participation in a training workshop entitled “Preparing Self-Evaluation Reports for Academic Programs at Al-Aqsa University,” held from November 1-22, 2008.
- Participation in a training workshop entitled “Training of Trainers in Institutional Self-Evaluation at Al-Aqsa University,” held from October 12-16, 2008.
- Participation in a training course entitled “Information and Communication Technology”, held from February 25 to March 10, 2008.
- Participation in several workshops held by the Accreditation and Quality Authority and the Quality Development Fund during the year 2007-2008.
- Participation in the membership of the Preparatory Committee for the First International Scientific Conference on Natural and Applied Sciences, which was held at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza on May 23-24, 2006.
Participation in activities outside the university:
- Teaching the courses “Management of Educational Media Centers” and “Special Topics in Educational Technology” in the Master’s Program in Curriculum and Educational Technology at the Islamic University of Gaza.
- Discussing a master’s thesis in the Curriculum and Educational Technology Program at the Islamic University of Gaza.
- Teaching the “Educational Technology” course at the Islamic University as part of the Bachelor’s program.
Participated in the arbitration of several research programs and tools for master's and doctoral students enrolled in the joint program between Ain Shams University and Al-Aqsa University, as well as master's students at the Islamic University.
