Ahmed Kamel Al-Haj Said: A Palestinian doctor from the city of Safed. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham, UK, and is considered one of the leading chemistry professors in Syria. He has held several academic positions, including Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at the University of Damascus, Head of the Egyptian Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Constantine in Algeria, Assistant Director General for the Science Sector at the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and Research Director at the Syrian Atomic Energy Commission.
He has authored numerous scientific publications and translated several books in chemistry. He contributed to the development of the Chemical Dictionary at the Syrian University and is an active member of the Syrian and British Chemical Societies as well as the Arab Chemists Union.
