Ouda Rashid Al-Jayousi is a Jordanian doctor of Palestinian origin from the Tulkarm District. He earned his Master’s degree and PhD in 1993 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, specializing in Urban Planning and Public Policy Analysis.
He serves as Vice President for Science and Research at the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan and held the position of Director of the Regional Office for West Asia/Middle East at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Al-Jayousi has also worked as a lecturer at the Applied Science University in Amman, where he became a Professor of Water Resources and Environment and Dean of Scientific Research.
He has professional experience in the United States, working in the Department of Planning in the City of Chicago and at the University of Illinois Center for Urban Economic Development. Additionally, he has served as a consultant for the European Union, the United Nations, and the World Bank.
He has published numerous scientific articles in international journals.
