Muhannad Ayyash is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Mount Royal University, where he has been teaching since [year]. He earned his PhD in Sociology from York University in 2012. Ayyash is known for his research and expertise in decolonial theory, political violence, sovereignty, anti-Palestinian racism, and Palestinian social movements. He is the author of "A Hermeneutics of Violence" (UTP, 2019) and has co-edited two books. Ayyash has contributed numerous academic articles and book chapters to scholarly literature in his areas of specialization.
