Abdul Rahman Ahmed Jibril Baroud (Abu Hudhayfah) ( 1937 AD - 2 Jumada al-Ula 1431 AH / April 17, 2010 AD ), was born in the village of Beit Daras (one of the villages of the Southern District - Gaza District) in 1937 AD.
Origin and education
He was born in the village of Beit Daras in 1937 ; he immigrated with his family in 1948 to Gaza after it was occupied by the Zionist gangs, and he was 11 years old at the time. In 1951, he joined the only Islamic association in the Strip, the “Tawhid Association,” headed by Dhafer Al-Shawa . The association had a section for students, and a party was held every Thursday.
It was of a religious rhetorical nature, in which a number of people participated, and the Qur’an was recited, and poetry was recited, which affected his personality. He studied at the Hashemite School, which was close to the Tawhid Association, and his talent for composing poetry emerged at school, as there was a literary association in the school that provided opportunities for talents, and the poet Haroun Hashem Rashid taught there, and he revised the poems he composed for him.
