Bashar Al-Masri (1961-) is a Palestinian businessman , born and raised in Nablus , holds American citizenship, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic University in the United States of America in 1983. He holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Masar International Group. 

His professional life

Bashar Al-Masri began his career in Washington , D.C. In the mid-1990s, he returned to Ramallah and settled there, where he founded and established the first Palestinian daily newspaper, Al-Ayyam .  He is the visionary behind Rawabi, the first model city in Palestine . In 2021, Al-Masri launched the Lana Al-Quds project in the east of the holy city to serve the Palestinian residents of Jerusalem. Bashar Al-Masri has led a number of important initiatives on the regional level, including real estate investment projects for the low- and middle-income classes in Morocco , commercial and residential real estate projects in Jordan , and a real estate tourism project in Egypt . Bashar Al-Masri has played a key role in establishing new Palestinian companies in the fields of journalism, financial services, communications, advertising, and information, and played a pivotal role in establishing the first investment fund dedicated to the growth of the Palestinian private sector.

Businessman Bashar Al-Masry held many and varied positions, including: 

CEO of Masar International, which is involved in a range of business activities across the Middle East, as well as North Africa and Eastern Europe.
Founder and CEO of Bayti, a partnership between Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment and Masar International.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of PADICO Holding.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestine Telecommunications Group.

His activities and contributions

Al-Masry was chosen as a global leader for tomorrow by the World Economic Forum , and was ranked by Fortune magazine in 2018 among the top 50 leaders in the world, and was featured in an episode of the famous global program 60 Minutes on the American CBS channel. Bashar Al-Masry devotes a great deal of time to the field of social service and membership in the boards of directors of many public and private institutions, including:

Member of the Dean's Council of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University .
