He was born in Nablus and studied at the Darwishiyah School there. He also studied in Damascus. He returned to Nablus to enroll in the Salahiyah School. He graduated from the Teachers' Training College in Jerusalem. He worked as a teacher at the Ramla Secondary School. He then moved to Nablus to work as the principal of the Ghazaliyya School. He contributed to the founding of the Muslim Youth Association in Nablus and served as its secretary. He moved between schools in Khan Yunis, Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Hebron, and Acre. After the 1948 defeat, he worked as a teacher at Ibn Khaldun Secondary School in Damascus and as the Director of Education in the districts of Ajloun, Hebron, and Jerusalem. He was promoted to Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education until late 1961. He was appointed Governor of the Karak District and then Governor of the Balqa District. He retired in 1967 while holding the rank of Assistant Undersecretary in the Ministry of Education. He left behind fourteen books on geography and  history , including stories. Radi Abdul-Hadi also has a published collection of poetry entitled "From the Imprints of the Days."
